This title does not describe Pico’s agility performances, it is what she said when she found out I was planning to scratch her from this past weekends agility trial!

We went to Springfield to shop, and it was apparent that Pico was not even slightly lame from her scraped pad. So, we ran in jumpers that evening. I figured we’d avoid the contact obstacles,  just in case. Ran in jumpers again the next day because I didnt feel like getting up early enough to get there in time for standard. It is very apparent that my handling skills (and I use that term loosely) are rusty as hell.

On Sunday we ran in open standard and I was pleased with her performance in that class though we did not Q. She handled a tricky section beautifully and had wonderful contacts. I got in a tiny bit of training on the table, when the bossy loudmouth decided to release herself early, and her weaves were good.

When I saw the novice jww class I knew that if we couldnt get thru it, it was time to hang up the hat! And, I was right, Pico got her second novice jww leg!  She got two refusals due to my bumbling, but her time was 19 seconds. I dont think a lot of dogs with clean runs do it in that time.

Now I have to find some more trials to enter! We have a usdaa trial coming up, but with only one leg needed to finish her jww title I’m going to be looking for some AKC stuff too. This little girl is a blast to run. If I can find enough trials for the winter, dock dogs withdrawals might not be an issue.

Springfield is a huge trial and the days are extremely long, but we had fun visiting with Pico’s friends and sponsors from Bravo Raw Diet, who had a booth there. Pico made out like a bandit at the end, and went home with the worlds biggest bully sticks, freeze dried salmon treats, backstrap chews, and a whole lot more! She didnt even know where to begin eating her way thru all that loot! She is also in love with their new freeze dried foods for travel. She did backhandsprings of delight when she tasted the chicken. Too bad it’s reserved for travel, not daily dining.

Saw a bunch of other tervs there. All I can say is, “oh dear god!” and “thank you Denise Fenzi!!”
