Pico finished third in Harrisburg, to two superb and accomplished dogs, Reggie (1st) and Nutmeg (2nd). She had a lot of good jumps, her best was 23′02″. The rest fell mostly in the 22 foot range.

It was very interesting to go back to a smaller indoor pool after jumping outdoors in the larger splash pool in Winneconne. I know now what they mean when they say dogs jump better outdoors! We are really looking forward to The Rock Classic, with its eight waves. This will give Pico a chance to raise her average even higher. Her current average is 24′04″ and we’d like to bump that up a bit to help our chances of getting into the World Championship event in Hayward WI at the end of July!

We found a pond just a few minutes from the job, so Pico can continue to hone her leaping skills and maintain her conditioning.
